I want you. :(

Okay, this post is going to be pathetic. It's about boys. I feel like I need to get it out, and this is a good forum. I want you. I know you don't want me. I know we're through. I know we fought. I know you hurt and used me. I know I should hate you. I know my family and friends do. I know I should be done. I know I should want to never see you again. But that doesn't change the fact that I want you. That I think about you, that I miss you. That I wonder what it would be like if you were still in my life. That I walk around with a sick feeling in my stomach because I can't call you or text you anymore. There, it's out in the open. I want you, but I can't have you anymore. It's just so hard to say goodbye.

Lists of Reasons

Reasons I like Boston:

1. Green!

2. Old fashioned houses, mine was built in the 1920's.

3. The ocean

4. Museums

5. People don't think I'm crazy because I'm not married!

6. Having a full caseload and being able to handle it!

7. Everyone out here uses the adjective 'wicked.' It doesn't matter how old or young you are (e.g., My supervisor told me how wicked cute one of my students is, and one of my students told me how wicked nervous he was.)

8. Wooden floors

Reasons I miss Logan:

1. My friends

2. My family

3. Dry heat (I never understood humidity until I came out here.)

4. Lack of boredom

"My heart and Soooul..."

Okay, a little boy I work with has the song "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele memorized word for word. To watch him sing it was a special treat. So this one's for him!

Life Lessons for a Speech Therapist

1. Playdough is apparently a food group, so is one's shirt.

2. If you ask an autistic kindergartner what they can see with their eyes they may tell you other people's butt cracks.

3. Damn is a word that starts with "D."

4. Popsicles are easy to become obsessed with. Hitting may ensue when said popsicles are not produced.

5. The elevator is an excellent motivator.

More to follow...

Hannah, this one's for you!

Okay, I promised Hannah I would try to blog while in Boston. There's so much to write about I'm not sure where to begin. I'm gradually growing more accustomed to it here in Boston. It is definitely a HUGE change from Logan, UT. I'm enjoying my internship, even when I get hit or yelled at by autistic children. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my supervisors! They are so willing to teach me and so patient with my short fallings. My roommates are great, although very busy. So I am alone a lot of the time which has been an adjustment for me. I think as I meet more people out here it will become easier.

Boys... I'm out here to get over a boy not find any new ones. My heart's a little bit broken at this point so I'm trying to Elmer glue or scotch tape it together whichever method you prefer. Before I came out here I was so ready to get away from Logan. I felt like I'd been there SOOOO long, and that I was SOOOO old. But coming out here I've realized two things. I am NOT old, and I love home. People's perspective on life out her is totally different which is refreshing. Not to mention it is so GREEN. I'll try to post some more pictures as I keep up this blog over the summer. So if you have any requests let me know!

Well... I can officially say this is my first post of the year. Grad. school has been inexpressibly hard, and I've had little time for blogging. One year down, one more to go! For those who read this I'm leaving for Boston, MA at the end of next month. I'll be interning at a special needs preschool in the Watertown School District. I'm scared to say the least, but I think it will be a good experience. It's time for me to escape the Utah/Mormon bubble I've lived in my entire life. Then I'll be back in Logan at least for the fall. Another exciting update my younger brother, Brachen, took out his endowments today. He will be serving in the New York, New York North Mission. It's kind of bothered me that's it's a step he gets to take before I do. I'm the older sister I've always done everything first. I have to say I'm feeling kind of melancholy as I write this post. I've been reading other people's blogs (hence updating my own), and I'm really missing all my friends who've moved away or are in different stages of their lives. This time of life can really be summed up in a single word, "change." I know I'm only 21, but I feel old. Ha ha maybe it's my old spirit whispering to me. For the first time my future's a blank. After I graduated high school I knew I'd go to college. When I graduated college I knew I'd go to grad. school. But as my blog is entitled "Now What?" In answer I don't know. I'm not married, nor will I be any time soon. I don't really have any strings to tie me down to one place.

B+

Well all, I have officially earned my first B+. I can't say it hasn't been difficult. Ha ha But on a happier note I have successfully completed my first semester of graduate school.
