The Question

The question would be why did I decide that I wanted a master's degree? As the start of school looms ever closer (a week and a half) that question becomes more and more pressing. Frankly, I'm absolutely terrified. I only turned 21 a week ago! Am I ready to be a MA student? Rumors be true the next year of my life is going to be a living hell! So please pray for me, even if your questioning my sanity while doing so. I know that I'm certainly questioning it.

Hannah, if you ever read this, I'm sorry!

So I was reading my friend, Hannah Gibby's, last post entitled "Narcissism at it's Finest: My Life Soundtrack," and it inspired me. So for the maybe five people that actually read this blog (Even that might be pushing it.) I'm going to list a few songs that remind me of certain people or events in my life. Here goes nothing....

Hear You Me-Jimmy Eat World
Thunder-Boys like Girls
Miserable at Best-Mayday Parade
Best I Ever Had-Garry Allen
Chasing Cars-Snow Patrol
Day Late-Anberlin
You're So Last Summer-Taking Back Sunday
Wake Me Up When September Ends-Green Day
If I had a Million Dollars-Bare Naked Ladies
Paperweight-Joshua Radin and Schuyler Fisk
Black Roses-Alana Grace

These are just a few favorites. A lot are about boys.... ha ha ...... Some are about friends (Daily Bread ;) )...... And others well life.... how it sucks, but is beautiful.

Holy Hell!!!

Life is crazy. Ya'll know that? (I've lived with two Texans. I am justified in saying ya'll.) I'm just flying by the seat of my pants or where ever Heavenly Father's hand takes me.

Wherefore art thou, Colorado? (Note to self: Why the heck do I live in Utah?)

I am currenlty in a cabin in Colorado above a lake and river. It is absolutely gorgeous here. I will have to post pictures. I know this is short, but it's an update right?

The People We Love

So I forget what it's like to be with a truly dear friend sometimes. Brynlee and I had an absolute ball this weekend. College is a time of constant change, and I've never done well with change. I'm constantly around people, but many of the people that I truly love leave me behind. Or at least in seems that way. I counted the other day and I came to the realization that I have lived with nearly thirty girls. Many of them have gone on to bigger and better things, and I'm still here. I know I've graduated college and am attending graduate school in the fall, but I still feel left behind. I'm not married. I haven't served a mission. I feel kind of stuck in a rut. But maybe that comes at any time in life when there is an ending. Subsequently a new beginning. So to anyone whose reading this that I love. I miss you. Please, don't forget about me while your growing up.

A more satisfactory post

I'm going to tell you a little about my job. Ha ha I think I can sum it up in a few phrases. "Thank you for calling Your Valet. This is Cara. How may I help you?" I think I created this blog because I'm bored. I'm so used to running around like a chicken with my head cut off, never having any free time. I don't think I know what to do with free time. Pretty lame, eh? I think so too! However, there are some bright spots in my future. One, my dear friend Brynlee is coming to stay with me this weekend. I love the girl to death, and unfortunately haven't seen her since January. Wow! I can't believe how much life has changed since then. How much what I want has changed. Isn't it incredible how life can take you down a path you were never expecting to travel. I look it where I was a year ago today, and I couldn't have pictured myself where I am now. Ha ha I think I'm waxing philosophical. Well.... trying anyway. Over and out!
